Mantra on Hay Perth

First room was dirty and unhygienic and I was moved to another room. Not much better. Filthy dirty cutlery and utensils, musty smell. Even after sterilising what I absolutely needed to touch I still felt uncomfortable the whole time I had to stay there.

Central location and easy to access. We stayed for 9 nights and our room was only serviced / cleaned on day 3. We had to ask for clean towels on several occasions. I also watched and dried the towels in our washing machine / dryer. The lounges need replacing! They are very worn out with no spring left. We did not receive a discount for an extended stay, so I would have expected the rooms to be serviced far more often. We booked parking for part of our stay with a 2yo. Only to return to the hotel one evening at 6pm and no parking available. It was clean and tidy, with food available close by. It would've been nice to at least have a broom or dust pan to sweep occasionally, especially when the rooms weren't being serviced. No garbage collection was completed over the weekend. We had issues accessing the venue on the first evening. Flying into Perth at 11pm. I called the hotel several days before and this went to a call centre. The person told me reception would be open 24/7, yet my booking email indicating otherwise. I called again before boarding the flight to Perth to be told reception would be closed and they would send through my access details before I arrived. I landed in Perth and did not have the details. I called the hotel (overseas call centre) whilst in the taxi to the hotel and had to fight to get the access details whilst not standing outside the motel. Noting this was only a 4 digit access code. This was a very stressful experience at 11pm with a 2yo.

Enjoyed our stay and love the service.

I have been staying at the Mantra quite often since August 2021. I have noticed that the walls in the rooms recently need washing in some areas, quite dirty some rooms have been.

I booked a single bedroom and was upgraded to a two-bedroom. Since I was staying alone the two bedder was too big. I asked for a one-bedroom because the two-bedroom made me feel lonelier. Everything was close by, so I didn't have to go far. The inside is dated, and the hotel doesn't run the attached restaurant.
