No Restaurant, only Chinese, not aligned with hotel, no ability to charge to room , no ability to charge to room, on a Sunday morning very limited offerings for breakfast, thankfully across the road was opened, poor Housekeeping, beds not made, towels not changed, only bin emptied twice of 3 mornings, indoor swimming pool no heated, kids very disappointed, Sunday evening dinner options extremely limited, we had already visited the Italian.

Good stay but no refund on deposit

The accommodation is like other normal hotel, except you have to pay 200aud deposit, 30aud per day for parking and the cleaning service only came once during our 7 days stay. Bad experience for deposit refund, because we see no refund at all until this review made. Complaint to accor got no reply and complaint to the hotel got no solution... I think this is the first time and also last time for me using accor for hotel booking. We will use agoda or booking instead as always...

Great location, but not well maintained.

We stayed at the Mantra on Hay to attend a footy game at Optus Stadium.. It is a convenient distance to walk too and from the ground. Unfortunately that was the only good thing about it. It was pretty noisy as we were placed on the bottom floor, as the rooms are promoted as self contained we decided to bring food and cook our own breakfast as the adjoining restaurant is no longer open. It would have been handy to have more oven safe trays. There also seemed to be a bit of a cockroach issue in the room, which isn’t always down to lack of cleanliness I know.. but it was pretty gross. Also it’s worth checking light bulbs in the lamps as most didn’t work.

Safety issues, run down

Very run down. Fridge door fell off, top of the fridge was very hot and the fridge was making a lot of noise. I was worried about safety because the fridge was so hot. The front desk girl offered me another room which was good. I suggested we turn the fridge off and she stood there while I moved the heavy cabinet to get at the wall plug to turn it off. I’m an older woman. She had very long manicured and polished fingernails, maybe didn’t want to break them. There were long synthetic curtains hanging over the heater. Again another safety issue. The heavier curtains were falling off the rails. The lamps were all plugged into plugs that didn’t work.
